Dropbox scores again

Yep, just when you thought Dropbox was good for synching your school files at your home computer with your laptop, MaximumPC just wrote a little article explaining that if you use KeePass (which I wrote about here), you can have your password database synced also.  That way you won’t have to save your password database on one computer, then transfer it over to your other computer via flash drive.  Just drop your password database in your DropBox folder and it syncs automatically.

Belarc Advisor

Ever wanted to know EVERYTHING about the parts and software in your computer?  Well, a free application called Belarc Advisor is your answer.  Just install, let it check for updates, then let it scan your system.  It scans pretty quickly, even on my old laptop, and will display your system specifications in a browser window.  Not to worry though, nothing gets sent to that company or anybody else, it’s just displaying a file made from your computer in a browser window.  Now, when I say it tells you everything about your computer, I mean it tells you everything.  It told me the serial numbers for my ram modules.  It also told me the serial number for Microsoft Office Pro 2003 that I have installed, which could come in handy because I seem to have lost my disc.  This also would have come in handy when I needed to register my new WD Velociraptor 300GB hard drive, but I already installed it.  So, I had to get under my desk on my hands and knees with a flashlight and try to make out the serial number, :D . Hopefully you find this software before you have to do anything like that.  If you find it useful, leave me a comment and let me know.
